Match of the Day running order: Gary Lineker explains Man City & Spurs positions

Holly Clancy, February 10, 2018

The Match of the Day running order

Gary Lineker may be one of Leicester’s most famous fans, but he had to admit Manchester City’s brilliance on Saturday.

Kevin De Bruyne claimed a hat-trick of assists and the Belgian was left adrift by Sergio Aguero.

The Argentine claimed a brilliant four goals, with all four coming in the second half. It was 1-1 at half-time thanks to Jamie Vardy’s latest goal against the Top Six.

As a result of their resounding win over Leicester, Manchester City are first up on Match of the Day tonight.

Spurs 1 – Arsenal 0 is on second on Match of the Day

Second on Match of the Day is the early kick off, with Spurs beating Arsenal 1-0.

Lineker hailed Tottenham’s second half performance and wonders if there has been a swing in the power shift in north London.

Third up on Match of the Day is Everton’s 3-1 win over Crystal Palace.

Gylfi Sigurdsson, Oumar Niasse and Tom Davies scored for Everton. Luka Milivojević pulled a late penalty back for Crystal Palace.

West Ham 2 – Watford 0 is fourth on Match of the Day

The fourth game on Match of the Day is West Ham’s 2-0 win over Watford. This was a much needed win for the Hammers.

Swansea’s latest impressive result in the Premier League, under new manager Carlos Carvalhal, is fifth on Match of the Day.

The Welsh side beat Burnley thanks to a goal from Ki Sung-Yeung.

And, finally on Match of the Day is Stoke 1 – Brighton 1.

Which does come with some jokes from Gary Lineker, who argues that the Brighton goal was “Barcelona-esque.”
