Nothing to prove
Arsenal star Henrikh Mkhitaryan has been discussing the pressure on him to succeed having failed to impress at Manchester United.
The Armenian star was brought into Jose Mourinho’s side with high expectations after an outstanding season with Borussia Dortmund.
Though, it wasn’t the follow-up season that the player had planned as he continued to struggle to adapt to the Premier League.
Another poor first half of the season this campaign and his time was up at Old Trafford.
Mkhitaryan fell out with Jose Mourinho, fell out favour entirely and then started looking for a way out.
Thankfully for both Man United and Mkhitaryan, it wasn’t that hard in the end.
That is because the player was fully willing to give up his time at Manchester United to go to Arsenal in a swap deal.
That deal would include Alexis Sanchez and Man United were more than happy to comply.
That got Mkhitaryan his wish and now he was been speaking about the new chapter in his life.
‘I don’t want to find excuses,’ he said.
‘I don’t want to blame anyone…I am starting a new chapter in my life, in my football career and I am very happy to be here.
‘I will be pleased to achieve more than I have done in Manchester, of course. I don’t have anything to prove to anyone.
I just have to enjoy myself, do my best and at the end, I will see where I can reach.’
