Tottenham 1 – Arsenal 0
Tottenham boosted their own top four hopes with a north London derby win at Wembley on Saturday. And, simultaneously left Arsenal in a world of worry about their league position.
Spurs moved up to third with the victory and can now look forward to the rest of the season, Champions League and FA Cup, with renewed optimism.
For Arsenal it now looks like being a case of putting their eggs in the basket of the Europa League, in order to seal a spot in the Champions League next season.
Harry Kane does it again!
Some Arsenal fans ridiculed Harry Kane when he first emerged on the scene.
It seems unlikely that any Gooners doubt the Spurs striker these days, thanks to his record breaking exploits and consistent goals against Arsenal.
Kane simply loves playing against the Arsenal, a club he was released from as an 8-year-old.
On Saturday, Kane’s latest winner for Spurs versus Arsenal came in the 49th minute. From a Ben Davies cross.
Harry Kane Trolls Piers Morgan
Spurs fans have plenty of reasons to love Harry Kane.
His goal exploits have emerged as on par with Cristiano Ronaldo and Leo Messi.
Whilst there is little doubt that Harry Kane loves Tottenham as much as their own fans.
Tonight, Spurs supporters have another reason to hail their number 10, for his social media game.
On Saturday morning, Arsenal’s most famous fan Piers Morgan suggested that Pierre Emerick Aubameyang would enjoy the derby more than Kane.
Cue an epic Kane response on Twitter.
In fairness to Morgan, he didn’t take today’s 1-0 defeat and Kane’s goal lying down, although what sort of response could he legitimately bring to the table!
